Haven & Hope Therapy - Psychotherapy with Annick Thompson

Happy Mother’s Day🩵 Motherhood can hold so many things at once - joy, love, gratitude, exhaustion, healing, and growth. I also recognize that this day can feel tender or complex for many in different ways. I’m looking forward to sharing more conversations here around parenting/motherhood, caregiving, perinatal mental health, identity, and giving ourselves grace through every season. ✨ #happymothersday #perinatalmentalhealth #therapyandmotherhood

A lot of our challenges come from focusing on things that were never in our control. We spend so much energy trying to manage how others see us, what they think, how they act and even replaying things that have happened in the past. And in the process, we lose sight of what actually is in our control: our thoughts, how we speak to ourselves, the boundaries we set, the energy we invest & protect, the actions we choose. There’s a different kind of peace that comes when you stop trying to control everything and start returning to what’s truly yours. Is there something you’ve been holding onto that you’re ready to release so you can return to what’s yours to carry? #TherapyWithAnnick #MentalHealthMatters #EmotionalWellness #Boundaries #LetGoAndGrow #SelfAwareness #takecareofyou

Black history is not only something we remember. It is something many people carry. It shapes how we move through the world, how we see ourselves, and how we make meaning of our experiences. Reflecting on this history reveals resilience, faith, creativity, and strength, alongside grief, silence, and pain that often went unnamed. Honouring Black history also means making space for rest and healing. Caring for your mental health is part of carrying this legacy forward. You deserve support, and you do not have to hold it alone. #BlackHistoryMonth
#BlackMentalHealth
#MentalHealthMatters
#HealingIsGenerational
#CollectiveHealing
#EmotionalWellness
#RestIsResistance
#HealingJourney
#TherapySpace
#SelfCareAsHealing
#HonouringOurStories
#MentalHealthAwareness

Inner work is the choice to take responsibility for your healing. It is noticing your patterns without making yourself wrong for having them. It is reflecting on your role without collapsing into shame. It is choosing awareness over avoidance, accountability over defensiveness, and growth over staying comfortable. Inner work does not mean something is broken inside you. It means you are willing to grow in honesty, humility, and care. This is not weakness. This is maturity. This is becoming. #InnerWork #SelfAwareness #PersonalGrowth #EmotionalWellness #HealingJourney #GrowthMindset #SelfReflection #TherapyWithAnnick #MentalHealthMatters #TherapistTips #HealingInProgress

Sometimes the best therapy is a simple walk outside. 🌿🍂✨ Fresh air, sunshine, and gentle movement lift your mood, ease stress, and bring clarity. Your mental health deserves just as much care and attention as your physical health. Take a few minutes to step outside, breathe deeply, and notice the beauty around you. Even a short walk can be a powerful reset. #TherapyWithAnnick #MentalHealthMatters #WalkingForWellness #OctoberReset #HealingInNature #MindfulLiving #TakeCareOfYou #SelfCareSteps #EndorphinBoost#

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t moving forward. It’s being patient with yourself along the way. Your journey won’t always feel fast or flawless, but every pause, every step, and every lesson has purpose. Remember: growth is not a race. Healing takes time. And you are still becoming. ✨ Be gentle with yourself this week—you are further than you think. #TherapyWithAnnick #HealingJourney #FaithFilledHealing #MentalHealthMatters #GraceForTheJourney
